Lightning Labels is partnering with Operation Lookout to help find missing children.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 8, 2005 –- Lightning Labels, a label printer based in Denver, Colorado is partnering with Operation Lookout to help find missing children. Lightning Labels prints photographs of missing kids on labels and Operation Lookout uses these labels to spread the word to try and locate these kids.

Every year over 800,000 children are reported missing, and this number is increasing. OPERATION LOOKOUT® National Center for Missing Youth works closely with law enforcement and local communities to ensure the safe return of as many children as possible. The organization has helped more than 14,000 children and, overall, has an 82 percent resolve rate. Operation Lookout’s services are always free to families, so they rely on contributions, gift-in-kind, and volunteer support from the community and businesses.

"We are deeply grateful to Lightning Labels for their generous donation of providing labels displaying the images of missing children. The kind of anguish the family of a missing child suffers is something most of us struggle to even imagine. But, together, we can make a difference and help keep their hope alive by circulating the photo of their missing child on our mail and packages, as it travels across the country," said Michael Gibson, President and Co-founder of Operation Lookout.

Lightning Labels is proud to provide labels to Operation Lookout to help in their quest to find these missing children. In the past year, hundreds of missing children featured on labels and in places like posters, media display ads, store receipts, on highway truck banners, and the missing children's Website album, were located because of the watchful eyes of the public.

Lightning Labels is one of the nation’s first all digital label printers. It prints custom labels and stickers for a variety of industries across the country. About once a month, Lightning Labels receives several files with new photographs of missing children from Operation Lookout. With their state of the art digital label presses Lightning Labels produces high resolution labels in full color. These labels are then distributed to Operation Lookout’s Label Partners who apply them to their outgoing mail and packages. To become a Label Partner visit www.operationlookout.org.

“As the father of five children, I feel very strongly about supporting those families who are going through the agony of searching for their missing child,” said Lightning Labels president Steve Smith. “We will do what we can to help, and with Operation Lookout we are partnering with an award winning organization that has a proven track record helping to find these missing children.”
