Integration Consortium Introduces 'Integration Journal' as New Global Professional Publication with Theme of 'Integrated Customer Experience' for 2008

A peer reviewed and industry practitioner publication, created by the people for the people involved in real world business integration, SOA, EDA and enterprise architecture.

Vienna, Virginia (PRWEB) October 4, 2007 -- The Integration Consortium (IC) announces today the 2008 Call for Papers under the theme "Integrated Customer Experience" which will produce the organization's "Integration Journal" for 2008.

The Integration Consortium is calling on thought leaders, architects, practice leaders, business leaders, and product leaders to submit papers for the 2008 Integration Journal that can help achieve a higher degree of maturity and application interoperability to better meet customer needs.

The theme of the 2008 Integration Journal is "Integrated Customer Experience"; which is based on the notion that integration at its most basic level is about communication between people, businesses, and technology in order to better serve the customer. Customers come from all centers of focus including individual, retail, corporate business, supply chain, internal employ, students and citizens. Organizations that exceed their customers' expectations in ways that can only be achieved by working together across the enterprise will be the future industry leaders.

Integration practitioners are invited to submit a paper, by January 31, 2008, to the Publication Committee for consideration in the 2008 issue. A peer-review process will select the best papers to be published in the Integration Journal. Of the accepted papers, the best ones (the best of the best) will receive the IC Award for Excellence designation and will be highlighted in the Journal. Selected authors may also be invited to present their papers at the Global Integration Summit or one of the Regional Integration Summits.

John Schmidt, Integration Consortium Chairman, says, "In 2008, the publication will have a name change and be called the Integration Journal rather than Global Integration Summit Proceedings Book. This will be the 5th annual publication of some of the best papers in the world on the topic of integration. The rationale for the name change is in recognition of the Journal as a stand-alone publication that is not directly connected with a specific event."

The Integration Consortium will continue to plan events and invite authors of accepted papers to present at one or more events in 2008 or 2009. In 2007 there were four major IC events including the Global Integration Summit in Banff, Canada, two Regional events in the USA (San Francisco and Minneapolis) and a Regional event in Brussels, Belgium.

"The IC is very excited about the launch of the Integration Journal", says Leanne MacDonald, IC Executive Director. "Our peer review process which is used to evaluate submissions is unique. IC members work together to assess all submissions ensuring that the content in the Integration Journal is first class. We are confident that reading the Integration Journal will be time well spent".
