GT Software is pleased to have the opportunity to host discussions such as these in efforts to further educate SOA practitioners
The IC SOA is a global community of practice comprised of senior IT leaders dedicated to the ideals of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) as the prevalent IT-model for transforming business and improving IT practices. The IC SOA explores the value of SOA by sharing and delivering real world experiences. The group convenes monthly via the IC's collaborative member website to discuss topics such as REST (Representational State Transfer), EDA (Event Driven Architecture) and more.

GT Software leads the effort by sponsoring the first webinar to take place on November 13th, 2007. The discussion will focus on Mainframe SOA: Best Practices and Real-Life Experience from the Trenches, and will feature a roundtable discussion led by Mr. Steve Craggs, IC European Chairman.

"GT Software is pleased to have the opportunity to host discussions such as these in efforts to further educate SOA practitioners," said Rob Morris, GT Software and IC Board Member. "Following the webinar, attendees can continue the dialog via the IC's collaborative website enabling interaction with SOA and integration experts across all industries and geographies. This is truly where the IC differentiates itself amongst industry organizations."

IC Chairman, John Schmidt, says "It is not sufficient to read analyst reports and read the latest books. Collaborative networked learning from practice leaders in the IC community is an essential way to stay on top of the challenges in the modern world. This Webinar series is a key element that every IT professional should include in their personal knowledge management."
