The event brings together locals and recreational boaters from all over the country to participate in a host of activities during boat week and the opportunity to boat across Northwest Florida's beautiful emerald green waters.
The Emerald Coast Poker Run, scheduled for August 18th was voted "The Best Poker Run in the United States" by Power Boat Magazine for two years in a row. According to the Emerald Coast Poker Run website, "the ability of Fort Walton Beach and Destin to accommodate travelers and our gorgeous coastline are two important factors that make our poker run the biggest poker run in North America". The event includes 9 stops and concludes with a large, casino-like party at the Emerald Coast Conference Center. The Poker Run is the Emerald Coast Foundation's flagship event and primary fundraiser.
