Mild to Wild Rafting Looks Towards Arizona's Best Rafting in Years

163% of Normal Snow Pack Means Ideal Whitewater Rafting Conditions in 2008

Durango, CO (PRWEB) March 2, 2008 -- Mild to Wild Whitewater Rafting and Jeep Tours, Inc. is excited to announce the first whitewater rafting trips available in the United States in 2008. The Upper Salt River Canyon, commonly referred to as the mini Grand Canyon, will open for rafting trips on March 8, 2008.

Arizona's White Mountains received 163% of the average snow pack this season, meaning that as the temperatures warn up in the Phoenix/Tucson area, the floodgates will soon open up, making for some of the best whitewater rafting in the Upper Salt River Canyon in recent years. Most years Arizona's warm, arid climate cause the level of rapids to be more on the mild side, but early this March the large amount of runoff will cause the rapids to spring to life like they haven't in years. Adventurers can experience great rapids, incredible scenery, wildlife and history.

Both rafting trips and kayak trips are available in Arizona, offering Mild to Wild guests an opportunity for an intimate experience on a guided tour in these spectacular canyons. Rafts hold 6-8 guests, plus a guide for navigation. Participate with paddles or sit back and relax while the guide does the rowing and speaks about the history and wildlife along the route. For a hands on solo adventure hop in an inflatable kayak (one person mini-raft) and enjoy a tour under the leadership of one of Mild to Wild's highly trained instructors. Rafts and inflatable kayaks require no previous experience. Professional guide and all necessary equipment are provided, including safety orientation and instruction.

Mild to Wild Whitewater Rafting and Jeep Tours, Inc. is headquartered in Durango, Colorado. Mild to Wild offers a large selection of white water rafting trips and guided jeep trail tours in Central Arizona, as well as in Southwest Colorado and Eastern Utah. Adventures range from two hours to five days, depending on customer preference. Trips start running March 8 and go through early May. Years of experience and the latest equipment make Mild to Wild your source for booking your next outdoor adventure.
