Security Solutions International (SSI) will be hosting another of its popular Organizational Response to Mass Casualty Incidents (ORMAC) in Yakima, WA on June 23-24th, as part of its ongoing commitment to Washington area agencies.

Yakima, WA (PRWEB) March 22, 2008 -- SSI has been the only private US Company training First Responders for emergency situations for over a decade. Having worked with over 300 federal, state and local law enforcement and public safety organizations, it is in a unique position to offer this ORMAC course, designed to benefit everyone from Police and Fire to Hospital administration and staff.

ORMAC, a two-day session lead by the renowned Dr. Mauricio Lynn, is built around growing awareness of terror threats and implementing prevention best practices and other response techniques as part of an informed, cooperative approach to Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI) in order to effect real change in our communities.

The program will cover topics related to core operating principles for the management of Mass Casualty Incidents including:

  • Definition and characteristics of MCI
  • Lessons learned from deployment to remote disaster areas
  • Conventional, CBR MCI and blast injuries
  • Hospital decontamination and triage: site organization principles
  • "Bug Hospitals"
  • Field management and drills organization
  • The ten commandments of sudden mass casualties

SSI CEO Solomon Bradman comments, "We are leading the way, making a difference together with very dedicated groups of First Responders and emergency personnel across the country. The ORMAC course is designed to better prepare those who consider themselves a cadre of people ready to fight the ongoing war on terror."

Learn more about the upcoming mission at SSI's website; registration for the course is being organized by the Yakima Police Department.
