The new division builds on the company's existing commercially-oriented online community-focused businesses including events, research, and a professionals network, as well as launching a new community consulting group. This change addresses the growing need in corporate America to understand and better leverage online community and social media in business.

The new division is unique not only in its focus, but also in its approach. Forum One Networks will continue to produce unconferences and invitation-based events that focus on trends and current topics in online community strategy, best practices, and social media. The 2008 roster includes:

  • Online Community Business Forum 2008 - An invitation-based event bringing together business leaders who drive active online communities.
  • Online Community Unconference 2008 - A gathering of online community practitioners, including managers, developers, business people, tool providers, and investors to discuss experience and strategies in the development and growth of online communities.
