"Changed", Yvonne Marie's debut CD, has a sound all its own; from the hip hop groove of "Don't Go", the catchy hooks of "Open Your Mouth" to the beloved hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness", this CD expresses her relationship with Jesus Christ in several different musical styles. The sounds of R&B, Hip Hop, Classical, and Samba all can be heard mixed with her unique vocal styling. Each song was written and produced by Yvonne Marie through the Holy Spirit, therefore the words are from THE WORD, which gives this CD power to change lives, penetrate hearts, plant seeds, and encourage not only the body of Christ but all who hears.
Yvonne Marie explained the title of her CD, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says '…if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation.' The songs on this CD tell the story of how God changed her from being a sinful, insecure, guilt ridden, self-centered (the list goes on) woman, to a child of God who loves the Lord, and the power she has gained to experience abundant life. She wants everyone to know that He can do the same for you if you accept Him as Lord and Savior, and develop a personal relationship with Him.
Yvonne Marie has ministered through music to many audiences with varied styles of music. The youth choir of which she belonged sang many well-known hymns of faith as well as contemporary Christian music. As a young adult at Grace Baptist church of Bowie, MD, she had the pleasure of being part of a choir of over 200 that performed many classical, contemporary and traditional gospel selections. Being a part of Bowie State University choir while earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education was a true learning experience for her as well. Yvonne Marie has also had the opportunity to be a vocalist with several worship teams, ministering the love of Christ through praise and worship music. Currently, she is a vocalist on the praise team and choir of New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Hanover, MD where they sing traditional gospel, and contemporary praise and worship songs.
Her debut release "Changed", displays not only her musical talent, and awesome song writing ability; it also expresses her love for the Lord and heart for ministering the gospel to everyone, without compromise.
