Singer/Songwriter Crosby Loggins takes victory on new MTV reality series sealing new Jive Records deal

Los Angeles (Billboard Publicity Wire) May 14, 2008 -- Crosby Loggins has just been voted America's favorite on the dramatic, live season-one finale of MTV's "Rock the Cradle." From his first performance of Elvis Costello's "Peace, Love and Understanding," to The Fray's "Over My Head (Cable Car)," and ending with a surprise performance of "I'm Alright" in the finale with his father, two-time Grammy-winner Kenny Loggins, Crosby paved the path to victory with a truly organic grace that won America over. After a season-long string of strong performances and praise from the industry-experts as the show's most consistently-solid vocalist, the multi-instrumentalist brought down the house with an episode-ending performance of his original song "Good Enough."

Of the season finale and winning the show, Crosby Loggins shares, "I was totally surprised. There was a lot of skepticism that I could win by focusing on the musical aspect of the competition. Jesse's a talented entertainer. I was pretty sure he had won."

On MTV's "Rock the Cradle," each rock star's offspring performed in front of a panel of judges, who were there to help guide the budding musicians out of the shadows of their parent's careers. While the judges shared their opinions after each performance over the course of the show, the viewers ultimately decided Crosby was to be the last man standing.

Prior to the show, Crosby toured throughout the US and Europe supporting his debut album, We All Go Home, as Crosby Loggins and the Light on J&R Adventures. Next up, Crosby is headed back to the studio to write and record music for his debut release on Jive Records.
