Fresh Tilled Soil, a web design and marketing company, today announced that it has been awarded "Outstanding Achievement" in the "Building/Construction Web site Development" category by the Interactive Media Awards™ for its completion of the Free Green Web site.

Wellesley Hills, MA (PRWEB) July 2, 2008 -- Fresh Tilled Soil, a web design and marketing company, today announced that it has been awarded "Outstanding Achievement" in the "Building/Construction Web site Development" category by the Interactive Media Awards™ for its completion of the Free Green Web site. Free Green is the first company to provide free green home designs online. The design honor recognizes that the project surpassed standards of excellence, representing a high degree of planning, execution and overall professionalism.

The Interactive Media Awards were created and governed by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization of leading Web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other Web-related professionals. Fresh Tilled Soil's redesign of the Free Green site exceeded strict guidelines in various criteria, including design, content, feature functionality, usability, standards compliance and cross-browser compatibility.

Our business of making green building plans accessible is completely dependent on the effectiveness of our Web site
Fresh Tilled Soil works with emerging businesses, like Free Green, to launch their online businesses through a variety of services including Web design, Web site prototyping, Web marketing and search marketing. The Free Green Web site encourages progressive building practices by making green home designs available to anyone. The site was redesigned and constructed by Fresh Tilled Soil in partnership with Extension Engine, an offshore software development firm that designs, develops, tests and maintains a range of mobile, Web and software platforms and applications.

"Our business of making green building plans accessible is completely dependent on the effectiveness of our Web site," said David Wax, CEO of Free Green. "By developing and prototyping the concept ahead of building the site, Fresh Tilled Soil provided our company with a successful design, fulfilling a need to display a multitude of materials and possibilities for developers and simultaneously allowing for feedback and collaboration."

"This accomplishment is further validation of the business benefits in employing rapid web prototyping from the very beginning of a Web development campaign," said Richard Banfield, CEO of Fresh Tilled Soil. "The method was beneficial to Free Green because we were able to reduce the time to launch and test the web concepts prior to building the site. Speed was an essential element to getting the project off the ground in time for their marketing campaign."
