C.H.E.F.® and MissionWise® Relocate to New Offices in Downtown Seattle's Historic Pioneer Square

Comprehensive Health Education Foundation (C.H.E.F.®), and its MissionWise® division have moved into the historic Washington Shoe Building in Downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square district.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 9, 2008 -- Comprehensive Health Education Foundation (C.H.E.F.®), and its MissionWise® division have announced their move to a new Seattle address. After many years in their Des Moines, Washington location, the organization has moved into loft-style offices in the historic Washington Shoe Building, which is located in Downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square district. C.H.E.F.'s new address is 159 South Jackson Street, Suite 510, Seattle, Washington, 98104.

"The move into our new office represents an exciting new chapter for C.H.E.F. and MissionWise that allows us to better meet the needs of our staff, and to more effectively and efficiently utilize our environmental resources as well as our own organizational resources," said Larry Clark, President and CEO of C.H.E.F. "Our new location takes into consideration the fact that we've become more virtual in our working approach, which results in the need for less physical office space. Coupled with the selection of a central office location in downtown Seattle that is easily accessible via mass transit, our staff will no longer need to drive to and from work on a regular basis."

In the months and weeks that preceded C.H.E.F.'s move to Pioneer Square, a designated moving team, comprised of a few staff members, determined which items from the old building would move to the new offices. Since much of the building's physical contents couldn't be moved due to space limitations, C.H.E.F. chose to donate much of it to a variety of nonprofit organizations across Washington State serving low-income, ethnically-diverse populations. The list of donated items included furniture, equipment, and supplies, all of which were given to community centers, after-school programs, pre-schools, early childhood learning centers, school districts, food banks, art programs for disadvantaged youth, and a school/housing organization for at-risk youth.

C.H.E.F. and MissionWise employ a full-time staff in two offices located in Seattle, Washington and Oakland, California. The organizations also employ consultants who work on a project basis in several locations across the United States, including Chicago and New York.
