Soldiers' Angels to Distribute "Coffee from Home"
Pasadena, CA (PREWEB) July 25, 2008 -- The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, America's oldest and largest privately-held chain of specialty coffee and tea stores, is teaming up with Soldiers' Angels to provide gourmet coffee and tea to America's deployed service members.
Customers can write messages of support for the troops on the bag.
The "Support from Home" campaign began July 1 and will continue through August 31. During this time, customers at all Arizona and California locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® have been invited to support the troops by purchasing a bag of coffee, a tin of tea or retail merchandise for donation at a 10% discount. These donated items are then distributed to deployed military personnel through the Soldiers' Angels troop support organization.
As part of the campaign, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® will also sell "Support from Home," a limited-edition blend of coffee designed with a special black label that allows donors to write a personalized message to the troops. Besides working with Soldiers' Angels to distribute customer donations, the company will give a percentage of proceeds from the "Support from Home" blend to Fisher House, the non-profit "home away from home" for families of veterans and military personnel receiving medical treatment. The campaign has raised 7,000 bags of coffee so far.
