Awards were presented to the winners in each of four categories.

The Government Individual DEAA Award was presented to Mr. Shawn Spencer, Chief, Future Capabilities Division and Chief Architect, US Strategic Command.

The Government Organization DEAA Award was presented to the Joint Forces Command, J89, for its Joint Command and Control Architecture Capability Assessment Enterprise. Mr. Stuart Whitehead accepted the award for JFCOM.

This inaugural awards program received 28 nominations.

"All of the project teams and individual nominees are doing outstanding work and are clearly having an impact," Mr. George Wauer, Director, Architecture and Interoperability, Office of the Deputy CIO said in making the awards.

In reviewing the program, Mr. Brian Wilczynski, Chief of Staff of the Architecture and Interoperability Directorate said, "The quality of work that is exhibited is exceptional. I offer my congratulations to all those who have been recognized for their achievements."

"AFEI is pleased and proud to support the DoD Office of the Deputy CIO in making these awards," said Dave Chesebrough, President of AFEI.
