BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (Business Wire EON) June 18, 2008 -- Bido.com successfully ran their first domain name auction on Wednesday June 18th, 2008 from 1pm to 2pm EST. The first sale proved the system to be a great success, with the sale of the domain name www.DigitalImages.com for a thrifty $911, catching the attention of other opportunistic domain name investors and the general public where an estimated 1,400 users logged onto to watch the auction.

Winning bidder Aaron Chronister of Kansas City, Missouri states:

News Image My search engine optimization business keeps me really busy too busy, in fact, to pay attention to thousands of domains being auctioned off everyday. However, I can pay attention to one domain per day. In fact, I just put in a low-ball amount and went back to work. I later checked on the site and saw it was up to $800. I put in $1,200 as a max and stole it at $911! It worked perfectly and I got a great investment. Im planning to hold on to it, park it for cash-flow, and sell at a profit later.

Bido.com's unique auction system allows for Bido Experts to comment on the auction prior it going live, and on today's auction the experts posted numerous comments about the value and brand-value of the domain. Bido Expert Wilhelm Laubach of DomainPlus.eu stated:

"My estimated value of DiscountImages.com is $ 5,000. This domain has a marketing advantage because of the prefix Discount. It persuades customers, that are searching for cheap images, to visit this website. At the same time the customers will be expecting to pay for images. This domain is suitable for all kind of advertisement, like TV, radio, internet and word of mouth advertisements. It is easy to spell and to remember. A Google adword for the term "Discount Images" cost $ 1.71 per click

Based on that feedback and other expert reviews that put the domain name value anywhere between $3,000-$15,000, the winner got one heck of a deal.

The Bido.com auction system allows anyone to sign up and bid easily plus view and upload videos, participate in future domain name auctions, and benefit from other features exclusive to Bido.com auctions including:
