WestLake Offers 5-Day Information Technology Training Course and Hands-On Exercises Conducted by Stuart Halloway

Westlake Training and Development to highlight Ruby on Rails instruction course.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 27, 2008 -- WestLake Training and Development will be hosting a Ruby on Rails information technology training course conducted by Stuart Halloway, co-founder and CEO of Relevance, co-author of Rails for Java Developers, and author of Component Development for the Java Platform. Halloway, an industry expert with extensive Ruby on Rails applications knowledge, will be teaching this exciting hands-on course as well as instructive exercises to a limited group of fifteen students from May 5 - 9, 2008 at the company's headquarters in Washington, DC.

Our goal is to provide the students with a foundation for Rails 2.0 and Ruby on Rails applications and give them the ability to apply what they learn here to the necessary software programming situations.

WestLake Training and Development requests that prospective students be experienced software developers and have a background in or experience with Java, C#, C++, PHP, Perl, Python, or a similar OO language. All students will receive a copy of Agile Development with Rails, and will learn how to install and configure Ruby, RubyGems, and Rails as well as understand fundamentals and all tiers of implementation. By the end of this information technology training course, students will be familiar with database access features, specific routing technology, and creating dynamic Ajax applications using RJS.
